First, let me start by saying, this board is not done. I've already stated this multiple times but let me again say, this board is. not. done. We opened it to chat during the game last night so some things aren't working as they should. I would like you guys to relax a little and give us some time to correct some of these. I am also asking that if you come across a glitch or something that you think needs to be corrected, please post it here and I will send it to the techs.

I know the post button is very difficult to find and that needs changed. Any other respectful feedback would be appreciated.

For an unfinished board, I actually think it's running remarkably smoothly right now.

The only things I'm aware of:
- login issues
- the edit box doesn't disappear when you save your changes, you need to reload the page
- I always appear as offline on my profile. That might be a setting though where I'm set to invisible or something. Haven't looked.
- can't get to my PM inbox on desktop.

I've had no other troubles personally.

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but the issue on editing posts on seems to happen with replies. Editing the original thread post seems to work as expected.

Edit: I seem to be showing online now too.

whoa, you mean I can actually reply? all last night I was trying to log in and reply/post. It logged me in, but I couldn't post.. I even did the nhl log in thing first and it still dind't fix it, it was doing it today too but now its working?

Hey Calvina, for some reason some of you became hung up in the validating process. Not sure what happened, but I went through it today and validated everyone so most should be good to go.

I've determined the login area up in the top right corner, where you can see your PMs and get to your notifications, only seems to work in your inbox, and when viewing a thread. All other screens it's broken on. So, I'd say it's a template issue for those other pages.

On google chrome the submit buttons are almost always missing.

I'm also noticing this on the latest version of IE.

I think for usability, the buttons should also be converted to look more like buttons instead of basic text. I can provide some screen caps if needed.

Is this board change an NHL-wide decision? Anyone know the logic behind this?

The other board was one of of they most poorly implemented, user unfriendly boards ever? And the NHL did drop the kickapps format months ago, but we're just changing over now.

Is it just me or does everyone have to hunt for the post or submit button most of the time. Sometimes its there or sometimes. Like right now I have to hit "more reply options" and after I post when I try to go back it says page unavailable. Really getting tiring chasing the submit button all the time. Sure hope they are working on it

Not signed in, so I need to type in my user/pwd at the top of the page to get the "Reply" buttons (not avail until you sign in)

BUT***

Once I sign into the top and press enter, it redirects back to the main forum page and I have to navigate back to the thread and then to the page with the post I wanted to reply to.

This may seem like a little thing, but making posting easy is integral to a good forum.

IMO, when you sign in, it should refresh the page you are currently on.

(Oh and BTW I can't see the REPLY button for this post... seems to go missing depending on the browser/computer I use)

This whole forum is extremely beta. Not sure why it wasn't thoroughly tested before release. Not something you would expect from the NHL. (where's that reply button now...???... hmmm... ok guess I'll go with More Reply Options...)

If you go to the BLOG section first when you come in here, you will get a log in prompt there, because it is a closed section to the public, for some reason..? (Wasn't, on the old board). Click on that & you will get a log in page...

I have an idea about all the missing buttons, Beergirl...

Could it be.., that since they started to change the backgrounds on the old board when all this board change talk began, that they forgot about this when they began this new board.. and didn't reload the BACKGROUND TEMPLATE.. onto these pages...? I find this new board much nicer & cleaner looking, but it seems a little "colorless".. and as if something is missing...?

Wondering if the buttons would show up much easier, with a darker background (picture/color)..., because it looks like the EDIT/POST buttons in certain areas are white, or very light grey..?

Ask the techs about this.. I may easily be wrong, but something tells me that it is a very simple thing to fix, but that they might have over-looked this, since they were trying out new backgrounds on our old site..
