Why did they change it and what was wrong with the old board? I could understand if the board had high traffic but for the amount of posters, you split the board up into so many sections???

sections are excactly the same as the old board. the majority hated the old board and wanted this one. give it some time, you too might like it better. it's new so there will be glitches but they are working on them.

Well, the old boards are gone. They just aren't finished fully implementing this new format yet, so give the tech staff some times to sort out the issues.
Might take some getting used too at first, but I like the change so far.

It's ok, I moved it to the forum feedback section just so I could get a handle on some of the thread moving options, etc...it's a learning curve for us mods too

What's it going to take to get back the old board.... I agree this probably sounds like whining to those of you that like it, but I could understand the old board this seems like a major pain
They aren't coming back and too be honest it was never really fully implemented properly. The NHL dropped the format (you may remember a few months ago when the league boards were shut down), and so all the teams that didn't already, are switching over to a the new format.
This is all subjective of course, but aside from actually being able to do our Mod jobs more efficiently (on the old board I'd have to go through like 3 different menus, wait for them to load, etc. This board only has one), I'm already finding that this new format loads faster, is easier to quote without having a trail like 10 quotes long that you have to delete, posting videos is a ton easier, and it looks a little sharper to name a few things.

Well being fairly new to the old board and now coming back to see this. I don't like it at all that the ppl who did the exchange have not over the old posts. I was going to post in one of my topics, but its obviously not here.
I hope its corrected asap as i am a person who gets bored very very fast lol

Gad, I thought that I had been banned from the board!!! I messed around with this for a couple of days until I got back on
tonight. It'll take a bit if time to get up to speed with the new setup but practice makes perfect!

This Board software is miles ahead of the old one! Said it 300 times already but the "view first unread message" is by far the best thing to happen here! haha
I do not get why people are complaining..
Are post counts really that big of a deal?
