Then you have to start looking at states that have three teams: as of right now ontario has three (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa) but two of those are in another province, alberta has two (calgary, edmonton). B.C. has one (Vancouver), Then you have Chicago, Detroit, Boston, New Jersey, Phildelphia and Pittsburgh (2 from P.A.), Carolina, Tampa and Florida (2), Nashville, Columbus, Minnesotta, Colorado, San Jose and Anahiem and Los Angeles (3 from california), Atlanta, Phoenix, and then 3 from new york (Rangers, Isles, Buffalo).
the only possibility would be someone who played for l.a., san jose and ahaheim which is nearly impossible as all those teams were expansion teams in different eras with anahiem being the baby of the group.
the next possbility is all three new york clubs...and if memory serves we correctly pat lafontaine....played for the new york islanders, buffalo and the new york rangers over his 22 year career...never leaving the great state of new york! he was with the islanders from 83-91, the sabres from 91-97 and the rangers from 97 up until his retirement in the early 2000's
