by Vik Rana
Ingredients:
30 Wings/Drumsticks (seperated)
1/2 Cup of Flour
1 Tablespoons of Salt
1 Tablespoons of Pepper
1/2 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
1/2 Tablespoon of Onion Powder
1/2 Tablespoon of Paprika
1/2 Tablespoon of Cayenne
1 Teaspoon of Celery Seed (optional, I find it gives it an interesting twist)
1 Deep Fryer (using whatever oil you like, peanut, canola, vegetable etc.)
1 Ziploc Bag
Steps
1. Clean all your chicken in cold water, and ensure you're washing your hands constantly!
2. Place in a bowl and put aside.
3. Grab a large Ziploc bag, and put all the dry ingredients into it, and give it a good shake.
4. Put the chicken wings into the large ziploc bag with the dry ingredients, zip it up, and start shaking to ensure the flour mixture coats all of the pieces evenly.
5. Fill up your deep fryer with the oil, and wait until the oil reaches 375 degrees.
6. Once oil has reached the temperature, start deep frying your wings! It takes about 8-10 minutes depending on your fryer. Listen to the wings, you will hear the bubbling simmer down significantly when the wings are pretty much done.
7. Take out wings, and put them into a bowl, and they should look like this;
Next up, some hot sauce!
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup of Franks Red Hot Sauce (or Franks Red Xtra Hot Sauce if you wish)
1/2 Stick of Butter
1 Pot
Steps:
1. Place pot on stove, and set temp to medium.
2. Place in 1/2 stick of butter, and wait until it melts.
3. Add in 1/2 cup of Franks Hot Sauce
4. Let it come to a simmer (completely heated through) while gently mixing.
LAST STEP
Pour hot sauce over wings, mix them up, and enjoy!
Here's the finished product:
Sorry my camera isn't the greatest, came out super bright!
*The spices for the wings are approximates, you can adjust the salt/pepper to your liking, same with the other ingredients. This is just a good place to start, and you can experiment with it however you'd like.
*Also the sauce makes enough to cover the wings, but if you like your wings "sloppy" you may want to make more sauce!
