I can only think of the Sex Pistols after reading this.

Good size 6'-4": 230lbs with decent speed and a good shot 24 years old.Problem i see is that he is just not consistent enough yet to be an everyday guy.he tends to float a little.Time is running out on him as a prospect going foreward i think. Any other thoughts?

I wouldn't say his time is "numbered as a prospect", they signed him expecting him to be a bit of a project after all. He can still be a good 3rd line guy probably (most likely case if he does every fully crack the NHL), part time second liner kinda thing best case, decent call-up worst case. Although he's a bit more in tough to crack the NHL now that Frattin has gone pro, and they have guys like Ross/Biggs who could be the type of third liners that Burke typically likes more.

I like his size. He may be a late bloomer. He needs to stay with the Marlies to develop more.

Not sure really what he will being, he kinda looks like a Kulemin type player. needs to step up though and be more consistant.

"Sha ain't no human being, a real moron, potential H-Bomb." Saw them perform, with their original bassist before Sid Viscious joined, A guy named Glen Matlock who co-wrote a few of the songs on their "Never Mind The Bollocks" album. Their manager Malcolm McLaren died some months ago. Ashton was a guy Dudley was hot on and as Burke said, "my guys kept at me about him so we git him." Good choice, this kid may be a power forward for years to come once he is fully developed.

Like most leaf prospects he didn't live up to his hype . He may make the team but he is getting past his window for trying . Probably a career minor leaguer . When burke signed him as usual it was said he was 1 yr away from NHL duties but that never worked out .

Hype? He's always been a boom/bust project type guy and he's not even finished with the team yet.

Actually I was thinking of the tagline at the end in response to this thread ... " No Future, No Future "

Apparently he laid some guy out for 5 minutes last game.

I actually thought it was a good hit.

If he can play more physical consistently, he'd actually be a pretty good 3rd line guy.

Mueller is big and strong but plays not so tough .

Strong enough to be a Marlie
Too weak to be a Leaf
I am rather dissapointed in him as I thought for sure he would make the team this year and he hasn't even got a call up for a cup of coffee .
He is quite talented but lacks that grit element .
