This is not a snubbing comment against the Leafs, who I want to win as much as anyone. It just shows why they are in the position they are in.

the same can be said about 24 other teams in the league as maybe 5 teams have players in those categories . and all those trophies prove are that they are individual players and not a TEAM .

Lupul should be up for the Masterton.

I mean even including our slide, he's come back from a series of terrible injuries, including a blood infection that could have ended his career, and he made the all star game, has played every game this season so far, and currently sits 6th in NHL scoring.

I think it's too early for the Masterton. Each team gets to select one player to submit for consideration and then the Hockey Writers Association votes on the 30 candidates. Lupul's a lock for our pick, and I think he's got a pretty good shot of taking it.

But there's a lot of good picks, for instance, Crosby will probably be the Pens pick, and because he's Crosby he might get a lot of support, especially if he manages to make a comeback in the last 20 games or the playoffs.

Lupul will probably be a finalist at least though.

No, it's a good mention. There's Pacioretty to consider, and Emery will likely get another nod too. I'd put it between those three guys.

not so much defensive as I am pointing out this is not a team that has a superstar and have to play as a team to get even the smallest task done. but Kessel is in good for the Lady Bing as well , being a high scoring forward with minimal penalties .

pacioretty is a clown. his injuries were completely over exaggerated and was skating within a month and a half, doesn't deserve any credit exept all the stupid media attention he received. go chara! lol i know im mean but its true

Even if we did make the playoffs, the Sens (Spezza and Karlsson) would deserve it more.

It's going to Malkin though, he's just dominant. Outside shot at Stamkos, if he breaks 50 (looks like he's gonna) and the Bolts make the playoffs.
