I'm happy for him, but also a little concerned about it... I still would have made use of Gards history as a Wnger... and played him on 3rd line (see my own suggested line-up, on the first page).. and brought up Colborne, Hamilton or Ziggy, for this one...

Marlies game is on right now, Guys... (LINK in previous post with Marlies Stats).

Tied... 0-0... so far.. (1st Period)

it's just nice to see another prospect

The Fan's reporting Gusto in net for his 4th straight start.

Siegel tweets the same.

Jonas Siegel@jonasTSN1050
Sounds like Gustavsson tonight.

But you never know with Carlyle. If it's true i think it's pretty evident that Carlyle's picked his horse for the rest of this season.

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

Why is Franson getting the shaft again?

Exactly, What the hell is the problem. He's a great power play quarter back and has a wicked shot...what gives?

I think Carlyle likes a physical guy on each line, so he likes having Phaneuf, Komi and Schenn out there on separate lines.

But I agree, I hope Franny gets a chance soon. He's usually decently physical and he was our best (arguably only) all around D under Wilson.

I'll take a 3-0 shut out over a 7-2 blowout, just so this team can gain more confidence in defensive game and to get Gus on a roll, :-).

You've got to love these Marlie stats, Seer! Also have to give you props for all the fantastic game threads! You put a lot of work into keeping everyone informed about both the Leafs and the Marlies in here. My buddies at work just rant about you and how they can come to a game thread and basically get most of the info. in one place. The boss just turned off the Marlie game. I guess we are getting told to get back from lunch? Thanks for that link, too, buddy! Last thing I heard, the Marlies were down 1-0, in the second period.

Wishing Ashton a fantastic game tonight, as well as the rest of the team. Last night was a great game, no matter what anyone says. To lose by only one point to one of the best in the league is a major step forward for us. Go Leafs Go! Have to get back to the grind. Thanks again, Seer. You're the Man!

and exempt from waivers for the purpose of bringing our roster back to the league minimum (of 12 forward, 6 D and 2 Goalies) but as soon as one of our injured roster members becomes healthy that emergency

What is a league minimum? Totorella is playing with 17-18 guys right now.

12 forwards, 6 D, 2 Goalies.

So 18 skaters should be fine.

Unless you mean 16 players and 2 Goalies, in which case that's a problem, and I don't see how the Lightning would manage with only 16 skaters.

I believe it was a mistake on NHL.com that they corrected. There was a boxscore that was missing John Mitchell from the roster when I was trying to find some stats. They only had 17 guys listed which struck me as odd, but I just figured it was a rule change, like a penalty for putting snow in a goalies face.

There you go, maybe they will have to put one of their forwards in net, :-)
