Two generic ones to start off with, then they have the better team and player centric ones.
I just wonder when we'll get to see our Leafs in one of these, now that the NHL has actually got a good PR department.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

Except it isn't the Cup.
It's not a joke if you have to explain it.

Just saying, there are 3 Cups. The real Cup didn't get kicked across a frozen canal unless it happened a long time ago.

That's one of the Cups. I was there when that road case was being built for it. I designed the site for the company.

That's one of the Cups. I was there when that road case was being built for it. I designed the site for the company.
It did happen a long time ago.
That particular event happened in 1905, when the Ottawa Silver Seven bested the Dawson City Nuggets in a 3 game series by a combined score of 32-2. After the series the Silver Seven hosted the Nuggets at a banquet after which the Stanley Cup was drop kicked into the frozen Rideau Canal (the players were actually trying to get the Cup to go over the Rideau but they obviously didn't get enough distance), it was retrieved the following day. This happened to the Original Stanley Cup as it was the Cup awarded to the Stanley Cup Champion until 1970. So all of the Stanley Cup stories before 1970 involve the Original Stanley Cup. Currently the Original Stanley Cup is permanently retired and stays at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The Presentation Cup (meaning the Cup that is currently presented to the Stanley Cup Champion, and also participates in all of the Cup's public appearances) was created in 1963, but first awarded in 1971. So only the Stanley Cup stories that take place after 1971 involve the Presentation Cup.
The Replica Cup is the boring one with no stories. It was created in 1993, and takes the place of the Presentation Cup in the Hockey Hall of Fame when the Presentation Cup is making appearances or with the current Champions.

Right. It didn't have all those rings on it in 1905. Misleading visual.
32 - 2
Yeah, pretty lopsided, but to be fair to the Nuggets, they had to take a month long journey from Yukon to Ottawa (and this was 1905, so they had to go by dog sled, ship and train) just to challenge the Silver Seven. So they were probably just burnt by the time they got to Ottawa.
