Let's get some more people in on it for next season, which will have a new format (most likely), offensive and defensive player of the game

The player of the game thread was a good idea but didn't actually work very well. In following it I usually saw several different posters suggest different players. Then someone (usually a 12 - 14 year old Gustavson fanboy) would take it upon themseves to decree who the winner was that game. What the Heck does that prove ?? ,,,Nothing!

My only hope for next year's game time threads is that we don't have any giant SIEVE's named Gustavson on our roster and his young fanboys have discovered girls or somthing

Yeah...I guess is hard for someone like you to swallow your pride and admit that Gustavsson was easily the best and most consistent goalie for the Leafs this year...no surprise to me.

Oddly enough, if Reimer hadn't of had an off year, I think Gusto would have still bee kept around. They just need a guy who is more of a mentor though under their current state of the team and for the development of Reimer; considering he is the one with a contract and has the higher ceiling.

I mentioned much earlier this year, that Reimer wasn't over his concussion symptoms.. and I took a lot of flack for saying that, but if people review his latest video interview (and what others are now saying) it appears I was right.. Sometimes one or two doctors can over-look certain facets of an injury & now, Reims has been re-diagnosed to having neck problems very similar to what Crosby has/had... He is now getting help with this...

I think you will see last season's Reimer emerge in the coming season...

If Burke agrees with you, then you must be right. After all, he's never made a mistake in assessing the value of players (on this team or others), now has he?
