Both made the roster for the Canadian WHC team, and I'm pretty excited to see them play for Canada. Hope they do well, and hope Canadians win the gold.

Go Schenneuf!
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

Good maybe kul-LEMON can go back to Russia where he belongs and we can hire a real second line player who can score 20-25 goals a season no matter what to take his place.

That Russian team is stacked down the middle.

Datsyuk and Malkin as the top two centers.

Who cares, how many times have these 2 played in these tournaments.
It's nice for them to represent.
But it would've been better if these 2 were in post season with the Leafs instead.
Games like this is not going to help say Schenn, Schenn needs to work on other aspects of his game this holidays.

Boston vs. Toronto playoff series.

Phil Kessel - 4 goals

Tyler Seguin - 0 goals

Or it can be a huge confidence booster, which follows him into next season. There is nothing like a player feeling confident, and playing better because of it.

Playing in a respected tournament on a world stage with and against some of the best players in the world won't help?

Interesting take. I guess getting swept in the first round would have done much much more for their confidence and development.

Can't say I agree with this take. Sounds more like lingering bitterness because of the regular season collapse.

I have to agree with ATGR a little as they should be focusing on training over the summer to get better for next season.

On the other hand it is a great oppourtunity for them to play against top players around the world and hopefully get a confidence boost or at least learn some new tricks they did not know to do or experiment withe old way they uses to be = Awesome.

So it can also be like training for them and do some good, it can go sour as well, but thinking like that will make you go sour, so lets hope for the best.

Schenn has probably already received the areas he needs to work on during the off season, and a training regimen by Caryle/training staff. And who's to say he isn't already trying to work on those things, and what better way to incorporate this, than by playing a bit of hockey during off-season, getting movements down.

You all assume that he isn't already trying to get better.

I'm not even the biggest fan of this tournament, but I don't see how more on ice time is a bad thing for them. Gain a different perspective from other coaches, etc.
