I just find it crazy that pre-season games are being booked and the cup final has not even started yet..... I wonder if there will come a time when seasons lap over?????

They announced a pre-season match already? Wow, the games against the flyers always seem to be a doozy. Our line-up is going to have a lot of revisions between now and then (at least one would think)....any guess is to who will play that game for Toronto? It would fun just to predict which hopefuls and regulars play eh?
By the way, overlapping seasons? Not really sure when that time will come, but judging by Seer's reaction above, it certainly is not impossible. Lap it up, man...lol.

September 26th is the game date "X".... I am hoping that late in the Pre-season this will be close to a roster team.....
This is the first Pre-Season game..? I doubt it will be close to Roster at this point, as they use this time mainly for assessing the prospects for future call-ups... I think there was eight pre-season games this past season, so maybe by 7 or 8, we will see something closer..
You have to remember that Carlyle will be trying to see as many players as possible though, in Pre-Season... He has a LOT of assessing to do!

Is there some logical reason as to why our pre-season games all have to be bunched together so closely? And why we play so often in such a short number of days?
I did not know that about europe by the way. Maybe the leafs can play a game in germany? Das Schcoren! Der Forstchecken.

I believe they haven't planned anything in Europe because of the CBA talks and knowing it could lead to a lockout.
As for the bunched up days that has always been the Leafs pre-season. Those teams we go up against always know the Leafs bring in a good amount of people. I think this is also one of our problems in that we always try to jam in so many off these pre-season games in such a short time.
Not sure who posted it, believe it was racer88. I hope they don't invite like 80 guys to camp but if they do that they make cuts quickly to get it down to an actual roster with possibly 3-4 spots up for competition.
