The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that the team’s prospect camp, held from July 2-to-5, will feature 42 players. The group will consist of four goaltenders, 25 forwards and 13 defencemen. All six of the Maple Leafs’ 2012 draft choices will be in attendance.

The camp will include on-ice practice sessions at MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence and seminars on conditioning, media awareness, personal development and nutrition. The camp will open with on-ice workouts on Monday at 10:00 a.m. The week will be highlighted with three intra-squad games which will take place from Tuesday-to-Thursday. The tentative on-ice schedule for the camp is as follows:

- Monday, July 2: 10:00 a.m. – On-ice testing (MasterCard Centre)

- Tuesday, July 3: 10:00 a.m. – Intra-squad Game (MasterCard Centre)

- Wednesday, July 4: 1:45 p.m. – Intra-Squad Game (MasterCard Centre)

- Thursday, July 5: 10:00 a.m. – Intra-Squad Game (MasterCard Centre)

*Media availability will take place following on-ice sessions.

Jim Hughes, Director of Player Development for the Maple Leafs, will oversee the five-day camp. Below is the full list of all 42 players invited to prospect camp.

These would be cool games to watch, too bad it sounds to be closed doors during the games.

I hope some of the goalies turn out to be awesome for the leafs future and near future.

Maybe the leafs can get some more potential centerman from these fellas.

Alcaine is a spanish goalie. I've seen him play before when the Spanish team matched up against the Netherlands.

He did rather well considering he's from Spain and they aren't really known for hockey. Should be rather interesting.

I'm interested in seeing Niederberger, he did very well in the OHL playoffs with Barrie.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

These two and Adam Hughesman are the three I saw as the most interesting invites for sure.

Tony Cameranesi is suposed to be commited to playing for Minnesota-Dunuth next year, so him comming to the prospect camp would seem strange. Last year Biggs didn't attend because it would take away his eligebility to play college hockey.

Just so people don't get off on more tangents than they usually do, remember that Biggs "made his debut" at last year's prospect camp. It's the September Rookie tournament that NCAA players can't take part in.

I was reading some comments from Paul Hendricks on prospect camp and he had some good comments, can't wait to see these kids play!

Tyler biggs is tossing bodies in his way. Biggs looks bigger and skating is much improved. He'll help oshawa next fall biggs-time.#tmltalk

Excited to hear that Biggs has officially left school to fight for a spot in Leafs/Marlies. Hope he sticks with Marlies and gets some good pro Exp in this year.

I don't think Biggs is eligible to play the full season with the Marlies. Sounds like he's going to be playing with Oshawa unless by some miracle he makes the big club.

He is eligible for the Marlies, it's only guys who are drafted out of the CHL that aren't allowed. If he gets sent to juniors, he has to spend the rest of the year there (unless he gets an emergency call from the Leafs), but as of now he can end up wherever.

I hope they send him to Juniors for the year though!

Yea when I wrote those comments, I forgot about the orientation camp. I thought they were talking about the spring camp.
