I was angry when I saw that. I was really hoping the Leafs would be able to land him. Getting phone calls from the best player ever and Paul Coffey might have been what it took to get him. That and he will be able to become a top 4 guy rather than maybe just making the team.

I had a gut feeling this was going to take place, I remained optimistic Burke would sign Schultz, but I had
a feeling that Scultz not Burke's pride would get in the way of a deal.

Schultz wants a position in the top 4, which he hasn't earned yet and only Edmonton really has the
opportunity to provide that to him. Also Schultz is a West Coast kid so that probably played into the situation
a little as well.

I have been looking at media leads online and hearing allot about how disgruntled other players in the NHL
are on how he handled the situation with Anaheim, some fans are reading into it and saying they believe
some players might "unintentionally" be looking to lay some big hits on Schultz..... If that is the case
I am glad we didn't get him, he might be the next Eric Lindross, so much hype around his potential
than one to many hits and he's the newest bust.....

Makes sense, Edmonton can afford to offer him top pairing minutes.

None of the rest of the teams could hope to do that.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."
