still better than what the Leafs did.
You mean this year? Or in general?
If you mean this year I disagree. I'd much rather have McClement for our great price than Carle for a ridiculous overpayment.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

I like Carle, he would be a good addition to TO but not for 5.5 mil a season. His career +55 is very impressive. But then again, that was with Philly when they were perrenial Cup contenders. It's hard to say how he will do in TB where he will definitely have less all-stars to play alongside of.
His style of play reminds me of Beauchemin, although his numbers are much better. I hated the Beauchemin signing at the time (thought it was way too much money at nearly 4 mil per for 3 years), it worked out really well for the Leafs in the long run. Trading him back to Anaheim netted TO Lupul + Gardiner, and a draft pick. One of Burke's best moves in my humble opinion.
