It saddens me to hear this. I had big hopes he would come in and be a decent forward for the Leafs. For all those that think he's ready, maybe not so much..

Kadri was too skinny now he's too fat?

i wouldn't say too skinny but more like too weak. if he's that out of shape, its all on him. should stop crying and learn to eat properly. its not that difficult.

For him to make these type of statements to the media before the kid was even done his testing for the day....
Perhaps Naz was cheating on his regiment, I don't know... but i do know this kid worked his *** off all summer

True. Is Eakins the new Wilson....Why does the Toronto management continue to throw there players and prospects under the bus. Eakins is a hack and should learn to keep his yap shut if he ever wants to coach an NHL teamShame on Dallas for tossing this troll bait out to the sharks.

This attitude toward Eakins exemplifies a losing organizational culture.
Why anyone would be mad at him is mind-boggling.

Its fine to hold someone accountable but not in the media. You do it on a personal level. First rule of good management is DO NOT call out or humiliate someone in public. Wait until he is evaluated in game situations or publish everyones fat results. eakins probably thinks he's a big shot now he has gone to the finals

He just hasn't figured out that right now he's an amateur trying to compete in a professional environment. It doesn't matter that he's only 21, though only a few days away from turning 22. There is no room for someone to treat professional hockey like it's just something to do for fun. Kadri doesn't stand a chance of making the NHL as he is right now. Sure, eventually, maybe, he'll get the message but it's not going to be while a member of the Leaf organization because I don't get the impression that Eakins has any patience left for him.
Eakins isn't at fault. He expects commitment, professionalism, basically for a player to approach the game in a mature, professional manner. What he doesn't have time for is an arrogant, lazy player who doesn't care much to do what he's asked to do. Let's keep in mind that if Eakins lets Kadri off easy, he's sending the wrong message. There are standards that need to be strived for and Kadri, obviously, can't be bothered. It happens. Players with talent get drafted early and just don't get it. Soon enough, a team cuts its losses, and moves on.
Too bad but, hey, that's just how it goes.

Again nothing wrong with Eakins holding Kadri accountable. He should go to BB and report the problem not spout of to the media. People claim players do not want to come to Toronto because of the demanding fans. What about a coach who tosses his player BEFORE even seeing what he can do in game situations. I ask in another thread how well do you think Kessel would do on the fat meter and he is a very good player?Let's place the blame where it belongs - Kadri.

If in fact this does affect Kadri's ability to make the team we should be sad as this will be high pick prospect down the tubesw and that does not bode well for future improvement to the LeafsLet's place the blame where it belongs - Kadri.
