Forums been dead lately so here's something new to talk about.

I miss the "gameday" feel. When i'm on the way home from work and know there's a beer and a Leafs game to look forward too.

What do you miss?

Playoffs, character, good coaching,a talented GM, leadership, sacrifice, talent .....

Oh sorry I know what you mean

I miss getting home from work knowing that a game is just about to start and it is already on my TV. my wife is cooking dinner and my sons are waiting by the TV to give me any pre-game updates; Everything a man could want his home, family, team and sharing it with the next generation of Leafs Fan.

Heading to the bar with my buds, cold draft beer in pint glasses, hearing the whole place erupt when we score.

Sigh. I miss hockey.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

I miss sitting down with the wife and watching games since we are both Leaf fans . It is always a hot topic with the kids too so I guess it is as much the company as it is the game that we enjoy since there is always a lively debate over who did or didn't play well .

Weird it's like that for me too. It's been so long since i watched a game the fan in me is dying. Almost like i'm in some kind of hockey rehab and it's been slowly leaving my system .

Not good news.

I miss the smell of Napalm, in the morning.... ........

(My bad..., that was an answer for a different subject...)

Seriously, though.... What do I miss..?

I miss the GAMES...
The excitement...
The interesting "current" subjects & discussion about players... and games..
All of our other regulars who really haven't posted much, since the end of last season...
Beergirl talking about Mike Brown...
2K4... & ..Crush.. getting me going with posting more game day recipes...
G.O.A.T. with his fabulous stat. charts...
The fun and laughter of the TMLEFT thread.. (as few post there any more)...
...and most of all...

..Watching my favorite team in the world again...!

(Oh..! ....and I almost forgot one last point... "Ice Girls"... :D )

SPEED IS YOUR FRIEND, MAPLE LEAFS..! USE IT IN EVERY GAME..!!

Now that the Grey Cup is done, I've gotten to the point where I don't even turn on one of the sports channels in the mornings. There's nothing on but American football and the only team game more boring, basketball. For excitement, there's updates on how badly the hockey talks are going nowhere, and if I see Buttman's smirky face again, I'm likely to throw something at the TV.

Don't do it, Jam!

What is a TV worth these days?

I'll bet, more than Buttman.

When it became abundantly clear that neither the players or the owners come anywhere close to giving a damm about the fans, the corporate sponsors or the areana staff and that it was just all about how a bunch of greedy millionaries could divvy up the pie I have become disgusted by the whole bunch

You didn't see his salary! (or that's one nice TV)

Anywho...something to watch. the AHL is good, but having it only at the end of the week most of the time leaves Mon-Thurs pretty dry (especially with the Raptors in building mode).

I miss that feeling to stay awake somewhere between 2-5 am because it's night here in Finland when Leafs games start. That feeling is amazing when the puck drops and the game is on. And I must try to cheer pretty quiet because I dont wanna wake everyone when Leafs score :D
