re sign lupul 5 million
JVR-Tavares-Lupul
Morrow- Grabo- Kadri
Komarov-Bozak-Biggs
McClement-Aucoin-Brown
Phaneuf-Reilly
Gardnier- Kostka
Percy/ranger- Holzer
Reimer
Scrivens
Morrow sign 3.5
Tavares for Liles, Kessel, frattin (what is a top centre worth to you?) (please do not say it is impossible Gretezky got traded, gilmour, pretty much all the greats)
Komarov knows he is nhl bound thats the only reason he left.
Aucoin sure getting older but veteran presence is good for the younger players plus defensively sturdy
Biggs we'll see how he does in world juniors
Kadri should of made the team a long time ago
Morrow we need a better leader than Phaneuf
Tavares again up coming leader which can let us phase Phaneuf out
Reilly again watch the juniors I think he will definitely put up some solid points
one trade and one sign and you are left with a stronger defensive team with two new captains to bring leadership

I would do it in a heartbeat; but I don't think the Islanders would.
They're a small market team; and they need the star power of Tavares.
Kessel has some star power; but not like Tavares.

I doubt they let Biggs play over Hamilton, and Aucoin isn't a 4th line centre, that would probably be split between McClement and Steckel.
That D is slightly hideous. Would Rather have Gardiner/Franson, but Rielly is debatable to try for the team, fair enough, but I don't know if they put him first pairing right away. Gunnarsson still has the job unless they find a better defense first guy (they need someone like Willie Mitchell really)

No kidding, that's an absolutely hideous trade from an Isles perspective.
There's no combination of players within reasonable bounds that would pry him away from them. I don't think we have a shot at him til 2018 at the earliest.

iam pretty sure the leafs can draft a center in the upcoming draft with high potential in the top 5 .
be happy if Monahan or barkov dropp to fifth assuming we get the same pick...
Already shooting for 2nd best huh?
