For the leafs going forward and with potential trades in the air (even though none have really been rumored but come one they have to be talking to someone) but with potential trades in the air...Would you rather have an: A+ 1st and 2nd O-line combo with a D 3rd and 4th O-line combo...OR... B-,C+ 1st,2nd,3rd, and 4th line?
So basically a potential all star 1st and 2nd line with a crappy 3rd and 4th or an average to slightly above average 1,2,3,4 lines?

I think I understand what you're saying.
I guess I'd rather have an A+ top two lines even though our 3rd and 4th lines might suffer. But I don't think it has to be one or the other. Look at Chicago, they have a great 1st and 2nd line and good role players on their 3rd and 4th lines.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

I could see A for your first line the second line should be no worse than a B and your third line can get by at a C as well as the fourth line. Right now our third line is an A our second line is a C our First line well one third of our first line (so called) is playing like an A plus. (Overall Id give the kessel jvr bozak line a b minus). And our fourth line has been about C minus.

The way you phrased it makes the answer pretty obvious, because I think 2 A+'s and 2 D's is always way more impressive than 2 B-'s and 2 C+'s. I think if you asked if you would rather have a Penguins style offense (Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Staal, but not much support) or a Bruins style (4 lines who can all be productive and play close to 15 mins a night) it would be much harder to decide. I would probably choose Bruins.
