About Me
Being a S-Western Ontario native I was doomed for the get go!
My first memory was one evening, being 4 yrs old (spring 1979) I heard this horn ans siren sound and it scared me, everyone who was there soon after shouted. I was supposed to be sleeping at my grandparent’s house but I ventured anyway to see what the fuss was about. I must’ve been listening at the top of the stairs for about 2-5 minutes when the horn went off again. I started to cry and it was then I was discovered. Than allowed to come and watch, as they tried to comfort me. I was aloud to sit on My grandpa's lap and he started to explain what was happening. I fell in love with the Leafs that day!
The funny things he used to say; Keep your stick on the ice!, No behind the back passes!, Hit'em!, and my favourite That’a girl! when someone finished their check. The game has change so much since then but my Love of the Leaf’s has not.
I even went so far to attend Chef School in T.O. George Brown and made my way quickly to the team of excellence. I have had small chats with the likes of Wendel and Dougie and many others like Matts as I for 3 years was a part of the team of Chefs which fed the Players and Upper management, Bill waters and Ken Dryden were in office. I still remember Watters always ordered a Greek salad... every game day. It came to the CBA 2004 and I knew as did most there wasn't going to be hockey the next year so I went elsewhere for work and since haven't seen a Playoff game.
Part of me believes; because I am no longer around them and feeding them is why!!! In truth I couldn't afford that life anymore unless the pay was much more lol. Any how I am very pleased with the direction Burke and now Nonis is taking this franchise and I wish you all to be patience, we have never had to operate this way. We could always afford to buy a player or 6 lmao.
I remember the last Playoff game in the ACC as I was working and stayed to watch the finish. WOW it will be truly special to be back in the hunt again. Before I finish I got to say Roenick is a buzz kill just as much as 99.
Go Leafs Go! Lets Go Marlies!!!
