The club announced on Thursday that left-hander Ricky Romero has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique muscle strain, and that closer B.J. Ryan is also going on the DL because of tightness in his left shoulder. Our already weak pitching just got weaker. Romero was doing so great and now he got injured, our bullpen will be better without BJ though. Litsch shouldn't be out no more than 5 weeks now, maybe only a month now. Look at the score tonight. Isn't this unreal!? 13-0! Just to tell you all as well, Marcum is suppose to start throwing sometime in Chicago and in Kansas.

McGowan is pitching this year but they said last year that Marcum wasn't going to play all of 2009. But I guess they are going to pitch. It seems I made a mistake about McGowan. They say that mid June is the latest but then those doctors say that late-July is the best case scenario for him. Here it is. You probably will have to scroll down a bit but still they say that Marcum will be back this season. Now we are 13-5 after a 14-0 blowout! Great game!
